Welcome to the Diversity Festival, a yearly event that has been a beacon of unity and inclusivity in Elstree and Borehamwood since 2018. Under the esteemed mayorship of Mr. Victor Eni, the first African mayor of our town, we’ve been able to create a platform that celebrates diversity and fosters growth within our community.
We are a vibrant mix of English, French, and Nigerian residents of Hertsmere, united by a common goal – to influence and promote diversity in our community. Our festival is more than just a celebration of different cultures and traditions; it’s a movement that aims to create a more inclusive and understanding society.
The festival was launched by Mayor Victor Eni to bring together diverse communities of Elstree & Borehamwood, laying the foundation for unity through cultural celebration.
Each year saw steady growth in participation and scope—expanding from traditional Black History Month events to include international performers, local artisans, and dedicated youth mentorship programs.
Achieved record attendance and introduced an Indian community spotlight during Diwali weekend, featuring sari fashion showcases and immersive cultural workshops, solidifying the festival’s reputation as a beacon of inclusivity.
